What we do

The new ways of doing business and improving management demand to have measurement systems that allow the best decision making, according to the dynamics of the markets and the current economy.

We develop:

Encare is a company specialized in studies of Benchmarking, we have developed our own work methodology, developing own methodological tools, software, manuals and procedures. We have a commitment to comply with national and international standards for the implementation of Benchmarking projects, and our processes are certified under ISO 9001.

We maintain a solid network of contacts, contracts and confidentiality agreements for Benchmarking studies that are made with mining companies nationally and internationally. This allows us to approach these studies immediately.

  • Mining Benchmarking: The Mining Benchmarking © brings together a joint initiative between the leading mining companies worldwide and Encare, in order to have a set of Management Indicators for senior management that are homologated, comparable and permanent over time. The study presents, on a semiannual basis, the evolution of the main indicators of productivity, management, costs, availability and efficiency of the participating companies since the year 2009 to date.
  • Other Benchmarking:As a  request of our clients we have been developing technical benchmarking studies in operational and management areas. Among these studies are those of Operation and Maintenance for Mine and Plants, Service to the people, Supply, HSEC, energy and water efficiency, Photovoltaic Plants, among other areas.

We have developed a methodology for the creation of management and operation indicators whose importance is based on the following points:

  • The use of indicators for performance comparison is a management tool increasingly used by modern companies and has proved to be essential to visualize the management and the result in its various aspects.
  • Companies and / or productive sectors must have homologated and standardized indicators.
  • Well-defined management indicators allow creating comprehensive and understandable diagnoses of the management status, identifying weaknesses and strengths, in order to facilitate the decision-making of senior management.
  • From this perspective, the process is implemented so that companies can compare their operational performance and costs, together with monitoring their progress towards closure of gaps and improvements in their processes.
  • To ensure consistency and comparability, detailed definitions are developed for each requested indicator, data and variable.
  • The information collected allows the generation of a databases with historical and updated information of the company and / or industry in the areas of Health and Safety, Operations and Maintenance, Finance, Logistics, Marketing and Sales, Projects, Human Resources and Supply, among others.

In the areas of Supply it is important the search for continuous improvement in its processes and the integration of its suppliers, for this Encare has developed different products:

Model of Efficiency in Acquisition of materials and provision of services

To begin the process of analysis and approach to suppliers, it´s necessary to identify the current scenario of service providers for each operation, process and subprocess.

This model consists of a benchmarking to analyze the contracts and the material consumed in a period of time, associated to the respective productive processes, identifying costs, and operational indicators associated to the contracts.

Construction of the risk matrix

Encare has developed a model for the construction of risk matrices associated to the processes of contracting of goods and acquisition of services in order to minimize the risks for the principal company.

Canvas Model for Supply

To maximize the value creation of the Supply Area, it is necessary that all process actors, from the supplier to the end user, are aligned and have clear objectives.

For this, it is necessary to implement the Canvas business model for some categories, used in the world of innovation, whose focus is the development of business strategies that allow to describe in a logical and easy way the way a business model captures and delivers Value to the organization.

Technical evaluation of suppliers

Carry out studies to classify and evaluate the technical, financial, management and operations competencies of supplier companies under international, measurable and comparable standards.

New Markets

To ensure supply and obtain more competitive negotiation processes, it is necessary to identify new suppliers in different markets, for this we have defined two lines of action that allow access to new markets in a more effective way.

  • Exploring New Markets: companies participating together will carry out actions for the exploration of new suppliers in nearby regions and in low cost countries.
  • Diffusion of requirements: Is based on the following activities, which may be carried out nationally or internationally.

Development and / or participation in specialized seminars

Participation in fairs

Business missions

Broadcast Platforms

Participation in business wheels

Meetings with trade associations

Productive Development Programs

It seeks to provide a broad vision of the local conditions and capacities of the productive, industrial and service sector that could possibly provide services to the company, project or economic sector in question. This is achieved by applying a shared value model that involves a positive interaction between the client, the community and the supplier industry in order to increase social and private value. These projects are developed under shared financing between productive development institutions and participating companies.

Encare has developed a methodology for opinion and market studies for the industrial production sector. In this process we consider mass surveys through computer platforms, personalized surveys of opinion leaders and relevant stakeholders, surveys of reference groups, workers, suppliers, community, focus groups.

Having timely and reliable information is indispensable for making assertive decisions. Depending on what analysis is wanted, there are different ways of creating information and presenting it, Encare has carried out different types of studies:

  • Socioeconomic impact studies
Encare has carried out Socioeconomic Studies where it is possible to identify the impact of a project or company in a community, region or country. Statistical data are included for further understanding, accompanied by specific public and private data.Indicators include: impact on GDP, contribution to employment, community development, development of the regional economy, among others.

  • Creation of future projectionsEncare has historical mining information since year 2009, which allows the creation of future projections as of that date. This allows :
      • Perform statistical analysis of historical data
      • Make future projections of specific indicators

  • Comparison and analysis of historical data, present and future projections. As one of the pillars of Encare in the management of timely and reliable information, it is possible to know the actual and future variations of mining indicators, achieving a complete analysis of the variability of indicators over time.
